Institute Location & Address:

SCMLD is located at Vishrantwadi, Pune which is 20-30 minutes from Pune or Shivajinagar Railway Stations and 5-10 minutes from Pune Airport, the address being- No. 306, ‘A’ Wing, Shoppers Orbit, S. No. 44/A, Alandi Road, Vishrantwadi, Pune – 411015.

Accommodation & Mess Facility:

For the 11-month fulltime programme it may be arranged by outsourcing to agencies or persons in that business. Local students staying within 5 km radius may opt to stay with their parents. Otherwise it is conceived to be a residential programme. It depends on the proportion of local and outstation students. Accommodation may not be in one single building. Since apartments may have to be taken on rental basis, safety, discipline, decorum, cleanliness etc. are the responsibility of students. Being adults they must be accountable for their behaviours and actions – commission or omissions.

For other customised organisational or open programs for working people, it will be as per location and requirements – in hotels, retreats, at SCMLD premises or organisational premises as per the programme duration and requirements.

Permanent Campus:

SCMLD has so far operated and is even now operating from rented premises. To build its own campus, its parent body, the Sadhana Educational & Empowerment Foundation (SEEF) owns 6 acres of land with all the attendant sanctions and NOCs for construction. Those plans will now need modification based on its new initiative of this 11-month Leadership Programme, and retreats for working people and organisations – the proposed Leadership, Executive, Management and Worker Development Programmes. Earlier the project was planned for PGDM kind of programmes. Now it is being planned as an Open Space – Varsity Campus & Retreat.

Current Learning Support Infrastructure:

SCMLD believes that Universe is the supreme University and nature the best benefactor and teacher. Hence there will be more of field learning activities and less of classroom sessions. Class discussions will be only for basics and fundamental conceptual inputs. ‘Learning by doing’ experiential methods will constitute almost 50% of the facilitation processes. However, for discussions and deliberations, currently;

• We have two classrooms equipped with LCD projectors & Internet facility.
• Internet bandwidth of 2 Mbps and Wi-Fi connectivity and a library of 10,000 plus titles, and hundreds of videos, CDs are also available.
• Biometric System for attendance will be in operation by the time students are here. Most of the computational processes are IT enabled.

According to us a library of 10000 plus titles, another 6000 plus booklets, hundreds of videos and CDs, a small computer lab and Wi-Fi facility and two classrooms are more than sufficient for 50 students. All the existing facilities are fully air-conditioned to avoid noise, dust and other disturbances.

The above (SCMLD) facility is housed in a complex wherein banks, organised retail, diagnostic services, clinics, caterers, taxi services are available with sufficient open spaces. Multiplexes, full-fledged hospitals, restaurants & hotels are available within 5-7 kms from the SCMLD premises. Railway station and city centres, IT hubs and industrial areas are connected through rapid bus system or otherwise.
